The God who sees ME

The God who sees ME

El Roi is my favorite name of God because it means the God who sees. He sees me. He wants to have a relationship with me and wants to know every detail of me life even though He is KING of the Universe. He is so good to me. He is my Lord and Savior. Nothing shall separate me from His love. He is All that I need and MORE!

Meaningful thoughts

This morning, I got up at 7:00 and just started reading my bible. Usually, I get up and get dressed etc, then read my bible, but this morning I just decide to dive in first thing. The Psalms were full of God's goodness and love and how we should praise Him. I am just full of love for Him right now! God has used this time to really uplift my spirit. I was reading in Job as well, and even through the trials, Job couldn't curse God and die. Instead, he asked "why?" and then worshiped God.

Psalm 143:6,8,10 described my personal feelings today.

I stretch forth my hands unto Thee: my soul thirsts after Thee, as a thirsty land. Selah.
Cause me to hear Thy loving–kindness in the morning; for in Thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk (I've been struggling with knowing the next step and figuring out my future); for I lift up my soul unto Thee.
Teach me to do Thy will; for Thou art my God: Thy Spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.

I also had two songs totally unrelated to one another, but they are on my heart too.

"This Gift of Love"
We sang this at the Valentines Banquet at HQ this year. I love the atmosphere and the love shown. Thank you all for putting that together! For some reason it wasn't loading! Sorry all!

"My Jesus I love Thee"
Watching the pictures on this video got me... Jesus is a real, and sometimes, seeing a picture, helps me remember that. The words also struck my heart.

What Guys Think About Modesty – Video

What Guys Think About Modesty

This is such a powerful message. Please share all around!

You are Beautiful in His eyes

Never forget that God created you BEAUTIFUL in His eyes. I love these verses that tell the fact so vividly. Soak up the promises of God with the lies believed.

You are beautiful: "You grew up and became a beautiful jewel." (Ezek. 16:7 NLT)

You are treasured: "The LORD your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure. (Deut. 7:6 NLT)

You are honored: "You are precious to me. You are honored, and I love you." (Isa. 43:4 NLT)

You are one of a kind: "I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart." (Jer. 1:5 NLT)

You are loved: "He loves us with unfailing love." (Ps. 117:2 NTL)

Clay in the Hands of a Potter

Jeremiah 18:6
Behold, as the clay is in the Potter's hand, so are you in my hand, O house of Israel.

This morning, I was flipping through my bible actually on the way to another passage when my eye caught this verse. Lately, I've been lamenting over my insufficiencies. I am not as diligent, not as loving, not as faithful as I want to be, but God reminded me through this verse that I'm a work in progress. And He's got it all in control. :D It's so comforting to "hand over" the control and just let Him be the Potter.

Even when I do mess-up in life, He's there to take our ruined vessel and make it into something different. Surprisingly, this was in His plan and the vessel He makes is more beautiful than any we could have imagined or dreamed up.

Jeremiah 18:4
And the vessel that he made of clay was marred (ruined) in the hand of the Potter:

(Notice the Potter, never let go of the clay?)

so He made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the Potter to make it.

I have had this beautiful song running in my head from the Wild's I think. It was based on

Isaiah 61:3
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified.

I think it's so neat that God laid this song on my heart then gave me a verse to go with it. This was very comforting to me.

Here is a site that really has some good analogies on the Potter and Clay.

One dress-100 days-for orphans

I just found this website through another blog and I just had to share it. This young lady is wearing the same black dress every day for 100 days to raise money for the orphans in India.

Kimberly-18 years old

Hello Everyone,

I just wanted to write and say that I'm now 18 years old. Here's some pictures of the special day.

I was asked by a friend what my goals were for this year. It was very hard even to begin thinking of all the possible goals I could have for this one year. But if I would choose one thing, I would really love to be completely focused on Jesus. I could pick a task to be done or some character I would like to posses, but all of that is nothing if I am not focusing on Jesus. As I focus completely on Him, my attitude should be more cheerful, I should have more of a servants heart, and I won't be swayed by the glamor of the world. Pray for me as I endeavor to make Jesus Christ my all.
