The God who sees ME

The God who sees ME

El Roi is my favorite name of God because it means the God who sees. He sees me. He wants to have a relationship with me and wants to know every detail of me life even though He is KING of the Universe. He is so good to me. He is my Lord and Savior. Nothing shall separate me from His love. He is All that I need and MORE!

Anatomy of Faith

The Anatomy of Faith

Faith is very important to the Christian life. If faith and grace are tampered with, the very foundations of it are shaken. Everything that could be wanted in the Christian life rests with this one thing. No faith would basically make the entire Christian life powerless. Hebrews 11:6 “without faith it is impossible to please God.” Believing unwavering is so crucial. There can be no room for doubt in a life of faith in Christ Jesus. And what is it one is believing? Faith must be placed fully in Fact and that Fact is Jesus and the Word. Faith is under so much attack now a days because the devil want weak Christians with little faith or no faith. He knows that there is Power in true faith! Satan brought the first doubt into the world through questioning God.

There are six tactics that Satan uses against the soul. The first one is pollution of the mind. The mind is a big battle ground: God thoughts or polluted thoughts? Tiredness is another one he uses against us. Ever notice how someone is fine all throughout the day or even on the way home, then suddenly, one feels too tired to do anything such as play with the kids or do anything but lounge on the couch? Remember satan and the flesh go hand in hand. But Jesus’ power reigns Supreme so it is not necessary to take in the thought of how tired one feels. Distraction is trying to keep the believer’s eyes off the Truth. Anxiety and fear is another tactic that is easy taken in. One people often take lightly is anger and frustration. The first step downward starts with taking sin lightly and the first step upwards is taking sin seriously. The big one is doubt. It’s the peoples own flesh gaining control once again. But they are no longer a victim, fight it with the blood of Jesus!

This human battle can be likened to a court room. Fact which is the Word of God, The promises, the unseen realities, and the nature of God is on one side. One the other side is Experience which is feeling/emotions, the appeal of anxiety, the appeal of lethargy, the appeal of grievance. The Fact side is the side that is completely Truth. There is no falseness or something wavering. It’s just Truth. The experience side is the greasy man with a gold tooth bringing bits of doubt into the court room. Most of the points are based off feeling or experiences had that cause a bit of doubt. If one is in this court room, the faith must be so steadfast and unwavering in the Fact, the Word of God, that one can resist listening to the bits from the deceiver. There can be only one master in the soul and both sides can not be played. Do not even examine the deceiver’s evidence. Either truth is believed or a lie.

Having faith in the Solid Rock of Jesus will hold the believer against the biggest winds. Trusting the sand to hold up in a storm is foolish because that sand will wash away. The sand is truth all broken up, making it a dangerous go to in trouble. The enemy is not as obvious as he seems. He is syrupy and sneaky and he’s a lot smarter than people are. He’ll try to tempt the believer not to fully surrender to God. He wants to put self on the throne in one’s lives, if so, then he’s got control and the battle is lost.

Why are the believers struggling with fear, tiredness etc? Because they are still listening to that voice. We must choose what we believe. Just because Great Aunt Martha or Uncle Frank didn’t live out the gospel in their lives, doesn’t mean the believer must doubt the Word of God.  E. M. Bounds says, “A simple, confiding faith, living day by day, and casting its burden on the Lord each hour of the day, will dissipate fear, drive away misgivings, and deliver from doubt.” The believer has an exclusive covenant with Jesus. They must turn their backs on experience and doubt and have faith in the God who is the same yesterday, today and forever.

This teaching on faith was such an answer to prayer for me. I need to believe beyond a shadow of a doubt that my God, my Promiser can not lie. With full faith, trust Him to answer His promises and guide me through each day. I’ve definitely entertained doubt in my life on prayer (God’s will vs. me just praying) and many other areas. One question here lately being thrown at me is can I trust God again with my future. The only things He want for me are good things, so I can rest in the Fact and Promises. He fulfills them and delights to answer my prayer of faith.
