The God who sees ME

The God who sees ME

El Roi is my favorite name of God because it means the God who sees. He sees me. He wants to have a relationship with me and wants to know every detail of me life even though He is KING of the Universe. He is so good to me. He is my Lord and Savior. Nothing shall separate me from His love. He is All that I need and MORE!

Resurrection of Christ - Reflections

Resurrection of Christ - Reflections

When Jesus died on the cross He said it is finished (John 19:30), that meant that everything He came to earth to do was finished and death was defeated. That meant that He finished setting the captives free and breaking the bonds and He finished His ministry. He finished the battle. He had given up His life, His blood. Every aspect of this was final. It was completed when God through His power raised Christ from the dead (Romans 8:11). Because He was risen from the dead, He made it possible to have His Spirit in us. The crucifixion was the battle ground with death, then the resurrection was the Victory. Our old man now dead we are free to have His Spirit in us. We are risen with Him and have the victory in Christ. That victory means no longer being enslaved to sin, and free to know Him and have that relationship with Him (Romans 6:9,11,14). He lives in us. His death was the payment, and His resurrection was the Hope and Joy and Life! In John 11:25 Jesus tells us that truly He is the resurrection and that when we believe Him we will live.

Jesus literally put his righteousness on us and took our filthy rags of righteousness. He truly gave us His life and made a way for us to be IN HIM. All we have to do is believe and act in belief, which is called faith, this truth (Phil. 3:9)! His resurrection made the way for His Spirit to live in us and to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4).

Over Easter we heard a lot about the resurrection part of the gospel. It really hit me afresh just how incredible that aspect was. Because it was the victory telling that the cross work was finished, it stood out how it is the Hope of the gospel. No one could have had that power to be risen from the dead, that was ONLY God raising Him from the dead. That Spirit that rose Jesus up, can live in ME! I have to be solidly grounded on the fact of my old man crucified with Christ, and Christ crushing the devil, but another part of it, is just believing that when He rose up, He rose me up in Him too, and now I’m made new and fresh. Being in Him, and Him in Me, that power of Christ and the Holy Spirit within, is the power to do as He would, and literally live out the victorious life!
